Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley

~320 km

07:30 AM: Your driver will pick you up from your Riad or Hotel. We start our ascent into the High Atlas Mountains. The road twists and turns up to the Tizi n'Tichka pass, offering spectacular views of Berber villages that seem glued to the mountainside.

11:30 AM: Arrival at Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient fortified village (ksar) is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has starred in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You'll have free time to explore its earthen streets and climb to the top for a panoramic view.

Afternoon: Lunch in Ouarzazate, then we continue through the Skoura palm grove and the "Valley of Roses". Finally, we wind our way up to the Dades Valley, famous for its strange rock formations known as "Monkey Fingers".

Evening: Dinner and overnight stay in a charming hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Merzouga

~250 km

Morning: After a hearty breakfast, we drive to Todra Gorge. Here, massive limestone cliffs rise 300 meters straight up. It's a favorite spot for rock climbers. You'll have time to walk along the riverbank and take photos.

Afternoon: We head south towards the Sahara. The landscape gets drier and more dramatic. We pass through Erfoud, known for its fossils, before seeing the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rising on the horizon.

The Highlight: In Merzouga, your camels are waiting. Embark on a 1-hour trek across the dunes as the sun sets, painting the sand in shades of gold and pink. Arrive at your Luxury Desert Camp. Enjoy a traditional Tagine dinner, followed by live Gnawa music around the campfire. Sleep in a private tent with a real bed and ensuite bathroom!

Day 3: Merzouga - Draa Valley - Marrakech

~560 km

Early Morning: Wake up before dawn to climb a nearby dune and watch the sunrise. It's a magical moment of silence and beauty. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, we begin the long drive back to Marrakech.

The Route Back: We take a different path today, driving through Rissani and the vast Draa Valley, Morocco's longest river valley lined with millions of date palms. We'll stop for lunch in Nkob or Agdz.

Evening: We cross the Anti-Atlas mountains and rejoin the Tizi n'Tichka pass, descending back into Marrakech in the early evening (around 7 PM or 8 PM). Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of an unforgettable 3-day adventure.
